Hi

has the team considered doing any presence integration with Teams?

I had thought that maybe it could be done with the browser extension;

I would like the browser extension to monitor my teams status. If i am in a call in teams, i do not want to recieve 3CX calls. Alternatively, if i am on a call in 3CX i want to unavailable for calls on Teams.

While bigger integration pieces could be scoped, i thought that some of this might be a useful and achievable feature.

We lost a client due to this simple fact. They would have used 3CX if they had the presence

it is incredibly frustrating that people will call me when i am on a VC or teams call, and vice versa. there's no way i can signal to them in so many platforms. The obvious solution for me is also to ditch 3CX and go Teams for voice too, which is what your client did. At the moment it has not risen to the point of making us move but I can see the challenge on the horizon.

I know 3CX is good but it cannot replace Teams, nor should. IMO the solution is to play nice with teams, not to make you regret choosing to have your own PABX.

You can sync your O365 calendar with 3CX.
when you are on scheduled meeting in teams, your 3CX status automaticaly changes to DND
Doesn work for on the fly calls, but helps a lot.

Just to be clear, we have no issue with integrating with Teams. Its something on our roadmap. However, i see many people assuming that the Teams API is very powerful and reliable. Its an API that is maturing but some features simply are not available or we're not available until recently. Our dev team is on it. Outbound calling is coming as well, as per our roadmap.

I certainly concur that for some companies (especially small internally focused teams working from their desktop pcs) teams voice is probably not a bad solution. But many companies have employees not desktop based / internally focused teams - rather they are out in the field, shops, work floor and are in touch with customers via website or call queues. For these companies the contact centre and call centre features that 3CX offers make the difference. Its a large market out there and i dont think its 3CX or teams can't co exist. Its simply dependent on the market and the customer.....

I'd suggest just switching to Teams as your phone system as it's very inexpensive using Microsoft calling plan
What planet (country) are you from? Teams calling plans are overpriced and are stupid, at least in the US/Canada.
