Hello,

I do require some help for someone willing to take on a project.

I do have a client who wants to implement a telehealth video solution and Zoom is being considered cause they promise it can be done using their SDK. But however, I will prefer to use 3CX if it can do the same job better.
This is the workflow, a hospital fills out on form on the portal and it creates a case in the CRM, this case is triaged by a support personnel at the backend, assigned to a doctor who happens to be the provider. The provider looks at the case and review everything about it and when satisfied, s/he now initiates a video call using a button on the screen that is meant to call the specific nurse.

So, it is not a case of scheduling a meeting for a later time, it is instant and ad-hoc. The doctor is just meant to click on the connect button, we want to eliminate a scenario whereby the doctor will have to copy and send the meeting link.

After the meeting, the metrics about the video call will need to be parsed back to the CRM for storage and analytics.

Is this something that can be done with 3CX and is anyone willing to take on this project.

Let me know, and I can provide more information if needed.

Thank you for your reply, it's greatly appreciated. What I meant by that is call duration, like when the call started and ended, participants in the call and every details we can get about the call. We don't need the actual video call now, but business process might change that might require the video call to be stored.

Are both the doctor and the nurse 3CX users? Or are they on completely different non-3CX phone systems?

It's a new system that's being considered, so there's nothing yet for now.

OK, let me phrase it another way. If you were to implement 3CX, would all the users of the system -- doctors and nurses -- be on 3CX?

The doctors will definitely be on 3CX, the nurses might or not be.

If not everyone is on 3CX, then the web conferencing API is your only option. How can you ensure the nurse is available to join the web conference when initiated by the doctor? I guess they could watch for an email invite and rush to their desk?

Thanks for the response.

That can be resolved by pushing the link to a holding page that the nurses will see after submitting the form. With the help of a silent refresh, it can be achieved or the link can be pre-generated and added to a button on the page and when the doctor initiates the video call, they see a prompt on the screen.
I believe it is possible to get the link to the right place when the call is about to be initiated.

So the nurse would need to walk past the computer and glance at the screen as they go from one patient to another? Or is this nurse just sitting at a nurse's station in front of a computer?

My brother and sister are both physicians and neither is going to be happy about sitting waiting for a nurse to pick up an invitation on an unscheduled basis. Regardless, I will assume you have worked out the challenges of ensuring a nurse is available when the doctor wants to talk.

In that case, you could create an email monitoring tool that watches specifically for a web meeting invite, and when received, do a number of things: Flash a BusyLight, send a screen notification, play a ringing tone, send a text message, display a wallboard of meeting requests, etc. The nurse could click on the notification, a text message link, or a button on the wallboard to join the conference.

Thank you Matthew,

I get you, so if we have everyone on extension then it can ring as soon as the doctor begins the session. I just want to make it work. I will DM you.

Thanks in advance.

Will like to know if 3CX is HIPAA compliant and if there are any documentations around this. Client wants to know.
