Our customer used an Alarm Nurse App ''IcallMobile'', when a resident makes an alarm it is notified on the third party app with room number and phone number shown on the display. The nurse has the possibility to call the resident using the callback button in the app.

At that moment the number doesn't have to go into the native dialer of the smartphone but has to call through the 3CX app.
In the android device you can change the default app setting from the native dialer to the 3cx app but this has no effect.
Who has experience with this and can help me?

Thank you in advance for your help, this will be appreciated.

This should have an effect. You are basically telling android to use 3CX when you click on a phone number.
tap on a contact and see if 3CX is launched
Try and set the default dialer to Something else

Found this for you.
Going to Settings-Applications Manager and in All Apps go to Whatsapp and hit the Clear Defaults button. This should clear Whatsapp from been the Default Dialer and should allow you to select the default one next time you need to use a Dialer app.Apr 20, 2015 .

Clear first, then try again and see. try again with another app - not 3CX to see if it has an effect. If it does have an effect then try with 3CX. If with 3CX it does not work, then come back here and let us know.

And also this highly depends on the phone and android os used.. you need to specify them. Do all phones and all os's generate this problem?

Thanks
