Hello Elastix Gurus of the world.
We HAD to install a new box with an older release.
Elastix
elastix-2.2.0-14
due to the new release not liking the second NIC. I dont really know why, but this one worked fine for both the motherboard and NIC.
Do to deadlines and users on top of us, we configured the system with a small FXO card, and a extra NIC for a SIP line from a provider.
It works fine most of the time. There are some quirks every now and then.
Today we had a report, and i looked at the yum update elastix, and to my sadness, the tech that did the install, never actually updated it. He installed and configured.
So now Im faced with the decision. Should i do the yum upgrade elastix? im fraid this can break more things than fix them.
What are the odds of me loosing the second nic on a yum upgrade?
This is an isolated box . Not exposed to the internet. It does SIP inbound and outbound on the second NIC. LAN on the first NIC.
What´s your suggestion?
all comments are welcomed thanks!
