Following the release of Version 18, one of the hottest additions has been our Microsoft Teams phone system integration. As this brings in a whole new aspect to 3CX, there are many elements to consider in the implementation. To help you ease the process, we have created this handy FAQ guide to help break down some of the questions you may ask, and ...

Just an additional note. We successfully deployed this integration for a Teams Room. Usually these Room accounts are created with just the Display Name field populated. You need to have both the First name and Last name field populated for the user to show up in the 3CX Office 365 User sync.

I assume this is done to filter out shared mailboxes and the like from the sync process since the MS Graph API doesn't provide a way to distinguish between a regular user and a shared mailbox. (I used the same filtering logic in one of our in-house apps)

Hi All,
I setup the direct routing for Teams following the best practices, but when I call an external number or a 3cx extension, I can hear the receiver but he cannot hear me.
The 3cx is behind a firewall and I setup all the rules needed.

Can you help me?

Thanks

Can you run the Firewall Checker And make sure all ports are Green?
If I recall correctly, CYTA SIP Trunks have an on-prem device CPE, so if this is the case you wouldn't need Port Forwarding, but for Teams, we need to be able to send/receive audio over the internet.

This would be my best guess, especially as the direction that seems to have a problem is from Teams to the 3CX Extensions.

5062 is open in the firewall. I get erros in the firewall checker but the Mobile app and web app work. Is there anything else I need to do in the configuration?

Yes, fix the errors you that the Firewall Checker reports. Especially if the errors that are being reported are in the port range 9000-10999, then that is probably the source of your one-way audio problem.
