Transferring directly to voicemails of extensions not going as anticipated?

We currently have 24 extensions set up on Snom d735 phones with a d7c connected for more visible BLF buttons.

Ideally, we want to be able to transfer calls from a user to a different user's voicemail directly (skipping that person) by pressing

{transfer key} * 4 {BLF button on the d7c unit}

However, users are having to go through the process of

{transfer key} * 4 {typing out the extension} {transfer key} so {xfer}*4123{xfer}

Wouldn't be that big of a deal but our two heavy hitters are transferring many calls a day, and this is not optimal.

I'm afraid you can't do it that way. A "BLF" type button on the Snom does not act as a "plain dial" of the extension number which is effectively what you want: to fill in the rest of the digits after you've dialled *4 already.

If you change the type from "BLF" to "Speed Dial" I believe it should work as you want it, BUT you will no longer be able to monitor the call state of that extension, the LED will be switched off permanently.

Okay, Would this then be as simple on their end as a {transfer key} * 4 {Speed dial button that goes to their extension but isn't a BLF key} ?? That they can tolerate! At least for the main two users who will be sending to voicemails, I can simply name that button "user-Voicemail"

Yeah if you store it as a Custom Speed Dial type, it should work ok.
The number becomes *4000 like below
and the name becomes "John VM" for example:



Then they press "Transfer" button and then simply "John VM" button. Just two keypresses and they send the caller to the VM of EXT 000
