Hello community,

To my surprise despite owning a professional license, I have to pay 75$ to submit a ticket to support...
I really hope you guys can help me here.

We are trying to using 3CX Webmeeting but we are automatically redirected to -> http://FQDN.3cx.net (where FQDN is obviously our hostname) and the page display "Portal not found: FQDN.3cx.net"

Searching through other posts like this one: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/webmeeting-portal-not-found.63430/
It turns out that web meetings are not hosted by the 3CX server (local PBX) but go through webmeeting.3cx.net.

I checked and my server can ping this resource. I thought there might bit a SSL certificate issue since we were using a self-signed one, but even after replacement we are still not able to connect. Am I missing something here?

Note: My Webmeeting_FQDN parameter is correctly set with my PBX FQDN publicly accessible.

Any help would be very appreciated!

John

Hi,

Firstly it should be noted that the webmeeting does not work with a self-signed certificate. You said you replaced it though with a valid one. Did you restart all 3CX PBX services? Do you run on your own FQDN?

Hi!

Yes it's a signed certificate (not self-signed). I did not restart the PBX services but the nginx (running on Debian 9) to have the new certificate reflected (and that worked). I do run on my own FQDN (domain).

Should I restart PBX Services? Would that help?

John

Yes it is recommended that your restart the PBX services as well.

Ok thanks, I'll do that tonight and update you. Does the portal supposed to work immediately after that?

Can't really tell as I haven't come across this problem. I only remember reading this on another topic. Theoretically it should work. If it doesn't, a 3CX team member might be able to help you better.

No luck after restarting all services I still have a Portal not found error.
Thanks for trying to help me here!

Please PM me with more detailed info about your PBX. For starters i'll need your PBX FQDN.

Hi there, i've checked around and it looks like your PBX is not contacting webmeeting.3cx.net
Could you allow traffic from your PBX to this domain please? Once you've done so, restart your 3CX System Service to force a re-sync of your PBX meeting data.

Hi Leonidas, thank you for having a look at it. My PBX can contact webmeeting.3cx.net, is there a specific port that this service is using to reach the PBX or that my PBX should reach the service at?

Just tried a wget on 443 and it goes through:

#3cx-server:/# wget https://webmeeting.3cx.net

Port 5001 of your PBX must be able to communicate with webmeeting.3cx.net:443
Currently i see there's 0 communication between the 2.

If your ports are correctly configured, let me know, there may be something wrong with your PBX config that needs to be checked.

I confirm this is correctly configured as my PBX is reachable on 5001 and the Webmeeting.3cx.net:443 can be reached. What the config you'd like me to check?

Can you confirm that the issue is resolved?
