Anyone wish 3cx would enact a dummy prevention for users that somehow tie SP1 into SP2, or any SP into another SP, infinitely taking up a call path until I go into the admin portal and disconnect the call? :) Hint hint devs? Or am I missing a way to prevent this myself somehow?

What are you trying to achieve? Prevent people from parking calls?

Hi @ElementalWindX,

May I ask, how you've managed to do this? How did you have SP1 call SP2?

It's not me that's doing it. It's one of my users. Not sure how she did it. Also she's parking a call say in SP3, and the light is not blinking red as it should, but she can pick the call back up on SP3.

No idea what is causing this.

Setup is Debian, 3rd party cloud hosted, no sbc, v16.0.5.619. All ports using different ports in phone settings.

Fred, somehow a user is getting SP* to call another SP* and I guess they are parking the call which leaves the 2 going non-stop. Definitely user error, but I wish some kind of dummy mechanism was in place to stop that.

Hi @ElementalWindX,

Under normal circumstances is not possible.

What some users did, against 3CX recommendations, is create 'dummy' extensions and had the SPx in the Mobile or Forwarding Rules. The reason they did this is so that they could park calls to SPx by Blind Transferring calls from devices that didn't have BLF keys.

Can you check if this is the case?

If it is, you can inform your customer that they need devices with BLF keys if they want to avoid this.

They are using fanvil x6u phones. All BLF keys.

We should forget about those non-conforming users :P

Hi @ElementalWindX,

They could have somehow used the speed dial BLF function but if I was you I'd ask them to tell you step by step how they're putting these calls into SP to assist in reproducing it. Its nothing I was able to reproduce just yet.

Also, I'd suggest upgrading the PBX to the latest build.
