unable to enter the + sign (N1 / 2.1)

Worked right out of the box, but the keypad doesn't work on 0-long-press to generate the + sign.

The + with a long press of zero works for me, but my VoIP provider doesn't support it. They just want the international number without the +

May i ask what phones you are using and what Versions of Android they are running?
