Unable to reach 3CX License Activation Server. Confirm that your Primary DNS Server is able to resolve activation.3cx.com

I renewd my license but I cannot activate it, 3cx says Unable to reach 3CX License Activation Server. Confirm that your Primary DNS Server is able to resolve activation.3cx.com.
I can ping activate.3cx.com but the system is looking for activation.3cx.com that is NXDOMAIN.

• 3CX Version, Professional 16.0.4.493
• Server OS, Debian 9
• Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? On-premises

There is a solution?

However @ChrisC_3CX, I could remember that I tried the same thing in October 2021 and the error was:
3CX failed to establish a TCP connection to activation.3cx.com.
Ensure that the local or border firewalls are configured to allow outbound traffic to activation.3cx.com
I was sure that I didn't have problem of connectivity, I could ping any other host.

Well to be precise, our activation server certificate had been updated at v16 U5 which is still newer that the version you are running. That said, you would have activation issues even if the old fqdn (activation.3cx.com) had not been deprecated.

The fact remains, you WILL have to upgrade to get around this.
