Unable to reach 3CX License Activation Server. Confirm that your Primary DNS Server is able to resolve activation.3cx.com

Hi everybody,

Currently I need to activate 3CX license from Free to Pro.

However, I get the error "Unable to reach 3CX License Activation Server. Confirm that your Primary DNS Server is able to resolve activation.3cx.com"

The version I am using is 16.0.6.641

I read the information and cleared the DNS cache, then I set up DNS in Debian with the first 2 lines:
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

I rebooted the Debian machine and then I successfully pinged activate.3cx.com

Did I do something wrong or missing something?

I also saw information about adding activate.3cx.org to the router to fix this problem, but IT System refused to assist me.

I have read information that it is mandatory to fully backup and reinstall 3cx. I am concerned about the risks if I cannot restore the customer's system.

You are using a very old version of the PBX.
This version will never activate. You need to create a full backup and restore it first to the latest V18 and ensure that you are able to resolve activate.3cx.com
Keep in mind that this is a very old version and restore cannot be guarantee.
