I am unable to recieve faxes to either the fax server or a fax maching on a FXS switch. I have tried various fixes suggested on the 3CX Blog for Version 8 and they don't seem to work either. My provider is Broadvox. Here is my log.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum.

the puzzle is resolvable.

Please start with questions related to supported environment and then (when problem will be resolved) we will try discuss problems related to "Net Satisfaxtion/IP_FAX-0.0.0.0"

Thanks

P.S. BTW, what is the problem with 805?

If you look at the Log, the fax it not going to the "Net Satisfaxtion/IP_FAX-0.0.0.0" it is going to the 3CX server. The extension for the 3CX server is 199 from an outside like over broadvox.

Here is the log without the "Net Satisfaxtion/IP_FAX-0.0.0.0" running. Still unable to recieve outside faxes.

I also use broadvox and just got internal faxes to receive to e-mail. I have a DID set to "send fax to email of extension" under the DID properties, and as long as the email of the extension is set up, it works. I have not been able to get faxing to work to or from an analog machine, but at least this is a start. Make sure you have the latest updates, and I have fax service installed on my server (not sure if it is needed to receive, but it's there). Make sure under settings -> fax you have the Fax server host set correctly as well.

I have not been able to get that up and running yet.

I was pulling my hair out (what is left of it) trying to get an analog fax server and fax machine to work through my 3CX server with a Grandstream GXW-4008 ATA. Tried every setting in the book to no avail. Call would dial, attempt to negotiate speed for a second or two and then go to a busy tone.

My call routes routed local calls through "Broadvox" and long distance through "TalkinIP", but if Broadvox was busy on calls it routed through the LD provider. Funny thing happended when all my BroadVox ports were busy, the fax went through. I set up outbound call rules to always have the fax extensions calls dial as LD through TalkinIP and ran ten test faxes without a single hitch.

To test this theory I routed inbound faxes through BroadVox and had issues receiving faxes on the BroadVox lines through ATA to analog machine and analog fax server (though fax to email appeared to work to the native 3CX fax server). Switched inbound fax routes back to my IPComms.Net inbound account (my original configuration) and it worked fine again.

Bottom line if I was a betting man (which I am known to be) I'd bet your issue is Broadvox T38 compatibility, or the codec that is being used to transit BroadVox. Try signing up for a TalkinIP.com account (This is not an advertisement, I just know it works with fax) and routing faxes outbound through them, and trying the IPComms.Net service for inbound (same company different names for thier inbound and outbound services).

FYI - I ran into the same issues trying to fax outbound through another provider CheckBox.CC and constantly failing. I am not knocking BroadVox I get real good call quality on voice calls, good support and all. I just think that the Fax over IP thing is so dicey that it works with some providers on some equipment and with other providers on other equipment.
