Solved Unable to update FW on GXP2170

3CX Version 15.5.0 on Windows

Two issues, perhaps related?

1. Unable to update FW on GXP2170

I've got two GXP2170's in the system. I've been able to update one of them to 1.0.9.102 through the 3CX interface.

I've been unable to update the second.

On the "Phones" screen in the "Fw. Version" column it says "Not Supported 1.0.7.97"

2. For the same extension that I'm unable to update the FW, I'm also unable to access the Phone UI because it directs to here: http://192.168.1.107/direct-login and I get a 404 - Not Found.

Reset phone to factory. It seems it is in the weeds somewhere. A reboot might work, but I am assuming you tried already.

Can you access the phone directly from the PBX machine? The direction of the PBX is correct. That is what the PBX is sending for you to be able to access the web interface of the phone.

i've had similar problem with GXP1625 and even factory reset was not a solution, i've used an external tftp server (split) to update firmware now mine is in latest release. it was impossible to upgrade FW from 3cx console, and like you GUI link was not working from 3CX console. and impossible to access directly on phone IP adress because of credentials not recognize. Just to become crazy with on phone

I got it to update but... I cannot determine which step worked. After deleting the phone and its extension, factory reset, a little voodoo, I was able to access the web phone UI...and eventually, some mystical combination of reboots and selecting/deselecting auto-update etc..etc..etc...it loaded the latest.

I did not need to to a TFTP solution as Grandstream suggested on their forums.
