Undo Licence Install to reinstall?

Good Evening Groovers,

I was deploying a licence and messed up, realised I did it wrong, and I want to start again. I can't figure out / find the steps to release the licence back into my portal.

I can easily nuke the VM, but I need to reinstall using the licence key.

Do I just delete the system from my 3CX Portal, and will that put the key back in the portal so I can start the process again (and get it right this time )

The license should still be in your portal and you just need to press the "install" link and off you go. If you want to release the FQDN from the key then you need to log in to the customer account associated with the key and release it via that portal.

Hey There. I did notice it still has an install link. However, the mistake I made was deploying it as "standard" when I should have followed the steps to deploy it as "multi tenant".

The multi tenant steps don't show the licence, I assume because it's tied to the install I did in error. That's what I was thinking I needed to "release" the licence back to the system?

The reason you are not able to see it in the multi-tenant is because the License was installed as dedicated.

Yeah, that's what I did Okay I will fill out the form, was hoping there was a simple fix
