Dear 3CX team,

it's me again :D I'm still "fighting" with the Webmeeting Remote Control.
Would you mind to change the Inno Setup configuration of the Webmeeting Remote Control setup, so that it's possible to use the command line switches /CURRENTUSER and /ALLUSERS?
  1. Modify the [Setup] section:
    • Add PrivilegesRequiredOverridesAllowed=commandline to make the command line switches working.
    • Change DefaultDirName={userappdata}\3CX\3CXWMRemoteControl to DefaultDirName={autopf}\3CX\3CXWMRemoteControl.
Depending on the installation switches the application will then be installed into the users AppData or into the ProgramFilesx86 directory.
  2. Modify the [Setup] section:
    • Change all occurrences of Root: HKCU; to Root: HKA;.
Depending on the installation switches the registry keys will now be added to HKEY_CURRENT_USER or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
With that changes it would be probably possible to install the Webmeeting Remote Control for all users which has the advantage to use the UAC prompt on Windows systems.
So this tool can be used by IT departments for support, where admin rights are needed.

But even if you change the installer, there is still one Bug, which I already reported here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...rol-not-starting-if-installed-globally.79786/.
Currently the Webmeeting Remote Control is not working, if it's installed into a directory with spaces, like C:\Program Files (x86)\.

Thank you very much!

Hi there,

We've looked into this on a high level and understood that this request will require a few days worth of development time to serve. Currently due to more critical development tasks, we are unable to serve this request.

We'll be doing something about this as soon as development time becomes available. I'll update you in this thread once that happens.

Nice! That sounds promising :)
Thank you very much!
