I'm using OVH as a host.
I have 3cx 15.5.715.6
I keep trying to do an upgrade. It looks like it's working, I get that email that it completed successfully and when I log back in it's on the same version.

I was going to start from scratch but my backups fail too -
3CX Phone System tried to backup but failed due to the following reason(s):

System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. (53300: sorry, too many clients already) ---> Npgsql.PostgresException: 53300: sorry, too many clients already

My SSL also doesn't work with my dns name so I have to go in via ip. Chrome won't allow it.

So what can I do from SSH to upgrade it and get it working again?
I tried apt-get update --fix-missing, apt-get update and apt-get upgrade. Those all went ok but no changes in 3CX.

Thanks!

I don't dare jinx it, but when all else fails, never underestimate the power of a reboot (sudo reboot) from the SSH console.

Also, close your browser and open an incognito/private browsing session to rule out cache.

The reboot fixed the backups not working. So thank you for that.
Still can't login or do an upgrade.
Login: You cannot visit ABCXYZ.3cx.us right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

@Rob Lloyd
Did you re-use an FQDN or set up a new one?

Can you go to https://<ip address>?

HSTS is 'really' finicky but at least it's temporary.

It's not "temporary" and it's been going on for months now. I never had the update as a priority.
Yes I'm logging in using the IP and attempting the update from there.

Is there an SSH upgrade? It's older and I believe running Debian 8.

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Unless you can think of any reason to not be running Debian 9.

Thanks! that got me to 15.5.8801.3. Better... Still showing another update 15.5.9348.3 which doesn't work from the update page. And SSL still not working.
Not sure what happened to get this messed up.

Just be safe. Backup. Reboot. Try again.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get full-upgrade

reboot. Try it again.

ok that worked, except upgrade not full-upgrade. I can now upgrade within 3CX console. Still only by IP but I'm going to try the debian upgrade in there and see if that fixes the SSL/name issue.

Thanks for the help!

Glad I could assist.

Have a great day!

It updated the SSL last night on it's own and everything is back to normal!
Thanks again. I'm documenting all this in case it happens again or with other clients.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you for updating the thread with your solution.
