Hi! When upgrading pbx to v20 from v18, will the blfs in Grandstream GXP2135 phones continue work? There is a separate SBC in the network. Other question: Needs the SBC also upgraded somehow?

When upgrading your PBX to 3CX v20 from v18, the BLFs on Grandstream GXP2135 phones should generally continue to work, but there are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Firmware Compatibility: Ensure that the Grandstream phones are running the latest supported firmware. 3CX v20 might require updated phone firmware for full compatibility.

2. Provisioning Templates: 3CX v20 introduces changes to provisioning, so it's important to re-provision your phones after the upgrade. Check if any custom templates you use for BLFs need adjustments.

3. BLF Configuration in 3CX: BLF settings should be retained during the upgrade, but it’s always a good practice to double-check the settings post-upgrade to ensure they’ve been properly applied.

4. Phone Reboots: After the PBX upgrade, the phones may reboot, re-provision, or require a manual reboot to apply any new settings from v20.

you will also need to upgrade the 3CX SBC to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.

HI. Thank you for the advise. All has been done accordingly your advise, just SBC has not been upgraded.
The result so far is that no blf is visible on the phones.I need to go to customer and check the SBC.

You need to upgrade the SBC manually

Hi! Thank you for your help. Now all is working fine. The instructions gave me a bit of head ace, but now the speed dials work, not blf. Tested with all both Grandstream and 3CX settings. Just speed dialing is working.
