Hi

We just signed up a UK number on Twilio to receive SMS messages. Twilio seemed the easiest to set up and get a UK number.

Turns out Twilio don't guarantee delivery (i.e. doesn't work) of any non-domestic SMS messages, for example we can't received US SMS on our UK number.

Before I start signing up for all the other 3CX supported SMS providers I thought I'd ask if anyone had any experience with any of the others and can confirm that they will receive international SMS?

Thanks

Once an SMS leaves a provider, and in particular, a country, then there is no guarantee of anything, as it is up to the other end to deliver. Any national "regulations" (standards) go out the window as they no longer apply.

I have found that things like delivery receipts rarely work when sending international SMS so I have no idea if the SMS was actually delivered . It will all be reliant on the terminating end, and, it would seem that some providers may be more reliable than others. Some providers (US and Canada) will block International (outside North America) SMS unless it is included in the originators plan. Are they able to send to other UK numbers? If they can send to mobile numbers, then the originating provider may incorrectly be assuming that if a number does not have a proper mobile prefix, then SMS cannot be sent.
