Hi all, have a client that does not want to use even a warm transfer for a caller. They want to put the person on hold and have the other ext pick it up at their leisure. Would you use a BLF and a parking orbit of that?

Thoughts?

Hi @VictorC

Yes you can park a call and let other extensions unpark it. Just set a BLF for a shared parking slot for the extensions to use.

can you set BLF keys by order? like line 1 to 5, so you can park a call one 01 and have them pick BLF 1

Shared Parks will be setup however you program them on the BLF page for each extension.
Every phone is different as far as where the BLF keys start and end as far as assignments.

My 2170 is using BLF 2 as Park 1 because I wanted a blank space between the Line button and the Park button.

Hi Craig, I guess I'm a bit lost of how this works with the keys. I can do it thru transfer button *00 ext. If I have a person dumping a call into say *01, how would I setup that one the phone to say *01 has a call in it? I have the same thing you do in the pic, but if I ad a call into *01 nothing comes up on my phone.

It’s not a * park.
It’s a shared park.
Use the button to park and unpark the call.

Ok, so if I'm on a call, I get hit the shared park blf key and then an ext can pick that up by hitting the same one. correct?

Yes sir.

thanks.. I got it.. I can set the call on my 46G but cant seem to pick it up on the old T21. I'll have to play but thanks for the help...

To support some older devices I’ve setup an extension 771,772,773
Always Forward to an external number and set the external number to SP1,2 or 3.

Been helpful on a Wireless handset.
