Users can pick up their own parked call at the phone they parked it at but cannot pick it up at another phone. When they try to pick up the parked call at another phone, they receive a busy signal.

Check now :) But thanks for reporting :)

Was the change to allow the user role to park/pickup calls implemented? I recently upgraded to Version 20.0 Update 0 (Build 1494)
My users still appear to need the Reception role to park/pickup parked calls.

No, they haven't released a later RC yet, if that will even happen before release.

I am facing a similar problem with my Fanvil X210. When I make a call outside and then park the call (put in hold) to transfer it to an internal extension, I cannot pick it up. If I restart the phone or the 3cx server, it works normally again, but only on the first call and then it crashes again. Phone has updated firmware. In version 18 this did not happen. The extension is already configured as an operator/recepcionist.

Thanks if you can help!!

Parking will revert back to the user level in RC3 - so you can park and unpark calls without having to be a receptionist
Did not have a chance to test RC3 yet, but, does it include this change ?
Does it also perhaps re-include the ability to dial SPx (SP1, SP2..), so that we can use shared parking from mobile applications (thanks to the dummy extensions hack) ? Agree here that official support of shared parking from mobile apps would be better.
Thank you very much !

using the forward to SPxx method though crappy was also used in the use case, if a client had a cordless. As it makes un-parking calls very easy for the user as you can just dial the number. You just dial a dummy extension number and this would then call the SPxx and unpark the call. Round about way, i know.

But @CISCOX you need to understand that this was a workaround in the first place. So it's unreasonable to think that this would be something 3CX would test and confirm is working in a new version when it wasn't officially part of the last one.
A lot of these workarounds are from clients using key phone systems and migrating across and everyone trying to keep the same feature set or way they used too. Often there is a better way to achieve the same thing.

Also, I had parking issues on a few v20 upgrades and for me upgrading to Beta 1 in V20 fixed their parking issues.
