Using Grandstream 4104 FXO device for paging handoff

Greetings, i am in need of the newest Version 20 instructions to add /register a Grandstream 4104 FXO gateway. Seems all i can find do not reflect the newest 3CX version. What is needed in the gateway as well as the 3CX

Hi Stephen, you need to create a generic gateway trunk, in the Registrar/Server enter the device local IP address and sip port.

Then you need to configure manually the device using the virtual extension and password that is in the gateway trunk, the device will register in the pbx using those credentials.

Thanks for the quick response. I have made those entries you suggested. Should that new device show Green to indicate registered in the 3CX system? It is currently Red

Yes, if the registration is successfully the trunk is marked as Green. Check the event log for further details, the device must be in the same local LAN.

I used this on another older system before on a local network other than the 3CX as it needed to be on the paging vlan. Event pasted below
