V16 - Salesforce Outbound Dialer (Update 1)

Hi,
In the V16 Launch Webinar, there was a preview of the Integrated Salesforce Outbound Dialer that will be delivered in update pack:


Is this an inbuilt Open CTI phone that can be placed in the Utility bar of Salesforce Lightning?
Will there be any other prerequisites for using this?

This is still under development. It will be an inbuilt Open CTI phone as you said.

Prerequisites and more details will be available as soon as we have it ready.

That is fantastic news. This is something I've been wanting for several years now and so etching I have tried to build on many occasions but never succeeded. Great work. Looking forward to seeing it in action.
What kind of time frame should we expect before we see this in beta(update pack 1)?

This requires that we implement the REST API first, so I would say not before Update 2... But please consider this a ballpark estimate...
