The console shows the update as being available. I select it in SIP Trunks, press upgrade, get the dialog, OK it, and wait. Nothing seems to happen. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

Hi!

What version on the SBC is currently installed? Also what is it installed on (Win/Linux/RPi)?
Could you also send a screenshot of what you see in the Management Console? (Hide any phone numbers, IPs, etc)

If the SBC is on Linux, it may be something with the repositories, but this is just a guess at the moment.

Win 2012r2
Current 16.0.384

what strikes me as strange is the random SBC name. The reason is that this happens when the old SBC connected to V16 Update. But you are on a new SBC version build, and for Windows you need to uninstall the old SBC and install the new SBC, so I can't figure out how it got like this.

Did you by any change keep the config file of the old SBC, installed the new SBC, the copied the old config on top of the new?

Anyway, try selecting the SBC and pressing "Push Config". Wait 20-30 seconds, then try the "Update" again.

I installed the new SBC effectively on top of the old one, without uninstalling. TBF I had tried to find explicit instructions, but failed, so followed my nose. Someone on here (possibly wrongly) in response to my question as to how to install the new one correctly told me to just install the new one, with no suggestion of uninstalling first.

I've pushed the config, and am waiting to see if it now updates from the console. And that worked! Current is showing as 16.0.386. Many thanks. Am I good to go, or should the old stuff be uninstalled?

The update top bar item is still showing an SBC update btw. I imagine that will disappear at some stage?!

Great! No, no need to uninstall the old one, that is fine. Yes, the Update at the top of the page will go away by itself after some time. I think if you logout/login it should go away already, unless you have other SBCs also pending update.

Many thanks Nick. For the benefit of others, can you guys post a KB that explicitly gives upgrade instructions from old SBC to the v16 one? I had put it off for a while with this customer due to lack of documentation.

Fair point, although it really is as simple as described in the "Install and Configure 3CX SBC on Windows" section, the only thing that isn't mentioned is that "uninstall any old version".
I'll send this to the documentation team and see if we can do something though... :)
