Greetings,

I have a customer with about 100 DID in their SIP Trunk.
The main number is xxx.yyy.6400
3CX is setup to route calls to 6400 to a Call Flow App (402)

When we create a new user, and select to add a DID, we see the main trunk DID as available, while it is actually being used toward a Call Flow App.
Looks like this is a bug.. Any way to fix this in the next release please?

If the "main number" is not currently used in a rule, and simply routes using the default of the trunk, then that number would still be available to use in a rule. Does your provider actually send a DID for the main number? If they do, they you might try using that, in a rule, to route to the Call Flow App. If it worked, it would leave the default route available to terminate unused DIDs.(which you posted about elsewhere)

Are you asking, that 3CX prevent you from doing something, that you already know, not to do?

I am saying that if you use an incoming DID in the incoming rules, and point it to a CallFlowApp rather than an extension, then it still shows available when you create a new user and click on INCOMING DID to assign a DID to this user.

If the DID is used, it should not appear as free.
Did you try it? Is it working for you? If not I suggest you try it, then you can comment.

I just tried it on V18 U2 (18.0.2.314) and it is as leejor said and as it should be: Once you create a "DID Rule" under Inbound Rules, in the Extensions General tab, when you press "Add a DID" button, the DID you have in the Inbound Rule does not appear in the list.

Hence my post. My MAIN DID is programmed in the SIP Trunk, and setup in Incoming Rule. Still when I click "ADD DID" under a user, this used DID shows up.

Yes, but I am guessing you have not actually created an entry in "Inbound Rules" for the DID number you have set as "Main Trunk Number", correct?
You have only configured the routing of the "Main Trunk Number" in the "General" tab of the SIP Trunk, right?

No, I have both setup: Number setup in SIP Trunk under "Route Calls To", and same number setup in "Incoming Rule"

Now you have made me curious, install TeamViewer on your PC and send me the TV credentials and show me int The Management Console.

My Apologies to all. We gave full admin access to the customer, who gave full admin access to at least 3 different persons in the past 6 months (which all had IT Admin role, but each one was replaced with the other), and who have no clue about telephony. They broke a couple of things. @NickD_3CX pointed out that their main number was used in 2 trunks. I should have noticed that. Happy new year.
