V20 Update 9 Alpha - Web Client Gets a New Look

Should we see the Beta build offer? Mine says up to date, but only showing 670 Alpha installed. Thanks in advance!
I do not think a beta version has been publicly released yet

It is showing in releases, which is why I ask.

3CX Version 20, Update 9 Beta, Build 20.0.9.870, April 202

I think it's a classic case of release notes being updated before release happens.

Here is the changelog:

3CX Version 20, Update 9 Beta, Build 20.0.9.870, April 2026

  • Added Fanvil Hotel template.
  • Added Fanvil X-Series and W-Series template.
  • Added Sirius VoIP template.
  • Fixed Rejecting an internal direct call from one device keeps ringing the second device.
  • Fixed Rebound enabled — call cannot be forwarded to mobile number.
  • Fixed Enabling rebound for "Forward to my mobile" incorrectly sets it to Send Busy.
  • Fixed Blind transfer rejection after timeout shows "Cancel" instead of correct reason.
  • Fixed Call forwarded to voicemail reports "No Answer" instead of "Busy".
  • Fixed CANCEL sent to SIP devices missing the "Reason" header.
  • Fixed Disabled extension assigned to Ring Group produces wrong notification.
  • Fixed Missed calls only reported for Available and Custom 1 profiles.
  • Fixed Additional email recipients for Queue/Ring Group don't accept spaces between comma-separated addresses.
  • Fixed Guest name split when it contains "GN" as a substring.
  • Fixed Click2Call browser extension not rendering number in dialer.
  • Fixed SSO does not work when "Sync from departments" option is enabled.
  • Fixed M365 Calendar sync not working (no Teams sync).
  • Fixed Extension goes to DND profile when declining a Google Calendar event.

I see it now. Installing now. Thanks all. I like how 3cx is continually pushing out enhancements for the better. Instead of waiting a year or so for complex upgrades like other systems. This is how it should be. Thanks 3cx.

@UCMUserAZ Thank you for your heads-up! Much appreciated by my team and myself.

It seems that since the update to U9 Alpha, notifications for missed calls are only displayed if the extension was in the status Available or Custom 1 at the time of the call. Missed calls that occurred while the status was Away, DND, or Custom 2 are no longer shown in the list afterward. Is this intended behavior, or might this have been overlooked during the revision of the call log?

fixed in V20 U9 Beta

Okay, so this is intended behavior?
If so, we will have to make a bit of an effort once the update releases to make sure the holiday destination of every queue etc. on every instance is set correctly. Because, as stated earlier, we always set that to the holiday script and not to end call – as in most scenarios, we want it to end after the prompt.

As for how we will handle it for numbers directly routed to users, I'm not quite sure yet. Currently they are excluded from the holiday prompt if no time-based status is configured, which won't be the case anymore.
I still wonder how I can exclude a number part of the trunk from playing the holiday prompt.
Hi @Corsin
V20 Update 9 Beta introduces some changes related to holiday prompts, including a new announcement option directly within the holiday routing settings of Queues, Ring Groups, IVRs, and Departments.

With the new “Play department holiday prompt” option, the configured holiday prompt can be played before routing the call to any destination, including End Call.
Note that this functionality is available out of the box and does not require the use of a holiday script on the trunk.

Regarding Users yes, playing holiday prompt via trunks/dids routed to Users is currently only achievable through the holiday script applied on the trunk.

That said, the behaviours you mentioned regarding holiday script functionality, such as ending the call after the holiday prompt is played instead of continuing to the destination, or excluding a specific DID on the trunk from playing the holiday prompt while allowing the other DIDs on the same trunk to play it, can still be achieved by modifying the default behaviour of the holiday.cs script.
For example, excluding a DID can be as simple as adding a line like the following in the holiday.cs script before it playes the holiday prompt:
if (MyCall.Caller.CalledNumber == "your_DID_to_exclude") return false;

Hey @mariosM_3CX
Thank you for the reply, this is great and clears things up. During my testing, I realized that during the department holiday prompt, I can hear the Music on Hold of the queue in the background. Will this be fixed, or can that be disabled?

Looks great! Well done 3CX Team!

This setting is not exposed, I'm afraid.
But you may set it using Params > DN Properties page - select the Queue - add STOP_BACKGROUND_ON_PROMPT with value 1.

wow, looks very good! Love the new webclient and the new queue features are a must.
