Solved V20 upgraded and lost my admin account

We had an admin account and didnt change the account type. Upgraded to v20 and now we can't login as admin anymore.

We have access to the shell, is there any way to create a system owner account via shell? Any other thoughts on how to get this figured out?

It should block you from upgrading if no extension is a system owner. Try them all or if you have a backup it should be marked in the backup’s xml file.

Reinstall v18 and restore from backup?

If the PBX was in the latest build there was also an assigned system owner.
You can check from your backup which was that extension and use those credentials to login as the admin credentials are not available in V20.

So we had an account assigned as system owner - but no extension assigned to it. I can't sign in with those credentials and I can't see that user either in the user list.

You have to sign in with an extension number or email address.

Got it figured out! Looking into the xml was the way.
