Hi,

I've read through the other posts about v65 and can't seem to get ours to work.

We are running 3CX on a Lightsail server. I have followed all the steps in the guide and cannot get the phone to register.

  • I can access the web UI
  • The 3CX admin shows the device but has a red square
  • The MAC address is there
  • The local IP is empty
  • The provisioning link is filled in
  • Firmware: 2.12.20
No matter how many times I try, I can't get it to provision. Based on the documentation provided, it doesn't seem that I am missing a step. Can anyone provide any insight as to how I can make this work?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, are you trying to use it as router phone, aren't you? by chance in the event log do you see any error? did you get any event like the information was sent successfully to the ERP?

The HTTPS port must be opened publicly, if I check you fqdn it is unreachable.... validate that is is resolving the correct public IP address.

Since writing my initial message, I connected the phone to wifi. This loaded the 3CX logo onto the phone but I can no longer access the web UI by either the WAN or LAN IP. It still tells me the SIP registration failed and "Invalid Line"

The event log shows the RPS request was delivered successfully but also says the provisioning file could not be generated.

443, 5001, 5060 -> 5062, 5090, 9000 - 10999 UDP and TCP are open to any IPV4 or IPV6 address.

Did you configure the phone with the option Connect Directly? please note if the phone is set as router phone it must be connected via wire in your LAN and not via WiFi.

I'm not sure what changed, but I restarted the OS, and everything kicked in. However, I am unable to connect to the web UI via the local IP. Everything else seems to be working well now.

Double-check your Lightsail firewall settings to make sure the necessary SIP and RTP ports are open. Also, verify the phone’s network settings to match what 3CX expects. Ensure your firmware is compatible with 3CX v65, and check if the provisioning URL is accessible by opening it in a browser.

The FQDN is reachable now, previously it wasn't and that is why the phone could not connect...

Please note that if you want to connect in the phone web UI you have to use the credentials that are set in the field web console password, edit the extension ---- ip phone and get those details from there.
