Video between doorphone and VVX500

I have an Akuvox SIP video doorphone. I have it dial the extension to a Polycom VVX500 on my system. When the DP calls the extension, no video pops up on the phone. But if I were to dial the doorphone, the video appears on the phone. I searched all settings on the PBX, phone, and DP and I couldnt find any setting that would make it work. Even tried different firmwares on the VVX. Im thinking....do I need a camera on the VVX to make the video window pop up on received calls? Anyone have this issue?

Does the VVX500 support any video codec i..e H264.

I looked at the specs, and cannot see any reference to video codec.

The phone needs to support video codec, and has to have the same codec the door phone is running at
