video door bell with 3cx and blue iris

Afternoon, we've wired to have a door ip camera powered via poe however I've just thought maybe this is something that can be plugged into 3cx for answering/video along with blue iris for recording. Has anyone successfully done this, which hardware would you recommend?

Hi Baldog,

If you want to answer calls with video, you need a doorphone, check out the Fanvil i30 or the Grandstream GDS3710 for example. The video-enabled calls can be answered on the 3CX webclient, as well as some deskphone models.

The device manufacturers usually provide a RTSP stream too, which can be used to record the video on your surveillance system of choice. We do not provide documentation for this part though, so you should look it up with the doorphone manufacturer before you proceed to purchase.
