Hey Team,

I have two X-Lite softphones that suddenly start giving problem when using video. Somewhere something has changed and I can't figure it out for the life of me. Have had no problems till now using video.

I have the following:

Elastix 2.4.0.2
In FreePBX Video=yes Video Codec 263p & 263

Each time I use X-Lite making just audio calls all is well. When I go to "Start Sending Video on either softphone I instantly see that call "hung up" and "Called failed: Media negotiation failed".

Any suggestion on where to look or to see what file has changed would be helpful.

Thanks,

Hi sir. :)

What's the result of:
sip show peer your_extension for each one.

Check if sip show settings gives a good result for your video setting.

You could try to launch sip show channels for checking any video codecs used here, however, i've a doubt about this cmd line. I believe it doesn't display any video codec during the call.

Otherwise you could make a sip trace (debug), and checking the sdp.

Amphibian,

Have you changed any NAT settings for the extensions recently?

I have also seen this come up with the incorrect NAT settings (settings that may have worked on earlier versions)....e.g. have you done a YUM upgrade recently??

Regards

Bob

dnardf, I will try that here in the next day and see what I can extract from it.

Bob, no I haven't changed any Nat settings on any extensions. I will though go thru each extension and check to see if the files have changed.

Thank you both,

Run A TCP dump when making the call , open it with wireshark and it should pin point the issue

tcpdump -w - -p -n -s 0 udp >/tmp/capture-asterisk.pcap

Thank you DaveD, will do and post back what I found.

Thank you,
