Hi, we are using Vocus hosted voice SIP trunks address: sip.melbournetelecom.com.au to register on the 3CX free version hosted user. We don't get the option in the SIP trunk settings to enter the SIP server address. Are we doing something wrong or is there another way of setting this up?

Is sip.melbournetelecom.com.au a requirement from Vocus?

it's Vocus SIP server

where do I enter the URL for the SIP trunk server?

We do not test white label servers as the default template has direct contact to Vocus.
In the Startup this cannot be configured and you should contact Vocus for further clarification.

It's a Vocus SIP server. We are just using our FQDN.

The same issue also applies to Ver20. I cannot register SIP trunks where I can on Ver18.

This is on the 3CX Pro

The Registrar/Server cannot be modified. You can use a Generic template but note that the interop tests are between 3CX and Vocus and not white label servers.

Then why is it working with another SIP trunk on the same 3CXpro V20? account. I have few clients on the V18 which all have registered SIP trunks. if I upgraded to V20 then you are saying none of my clients SIP trunks will work?
IMPOSSIBLE

As mentioned we test using the default settings based on provider. If further clarification is required you should contact Vocus.

3CX Free/SMB only supports validated/verified trunks available from https://www.3cx.com/partners/sip-trunks/australia/.

If you have a V20 Pro or Enterprise version, you can use a generic trunk option, see https://www.3cx.com/docs/supported-sip-trunk-requirements/#h.w02k8u3rrerk for more information.
