I was wanting to know if it was capable to not have the prompts when leaving a voicemail. I know how I can re-record the message prompt. I want to just have the customer leave the message and then hang up an not prompt them to enter anything.

Hi @Justin-ACR,

You can re-record the message prompt as you've pointed out. When they hang up it will not prompt them for anything. Is there something else you meant?

Yea what about the pressing # to save or * for operator? Can those be changed? I was wanting to know if they could just hang up after leaving vmail instead of pressing # to save.

Hi @Justin-ACR,

You could edit the extension selected in Settings >> General >> Operator Extension >> Callers who transfer out of Voicemail or other menus will be forwarded here to a queue, however there is no way to disable them. I wouldn't think callers who haven't been made aware of 0 or * without hearing that it's an option in the prompt.

I am not really concerned with customer dialing out. I am more concerned with the press # or * to save message. I have some customers that dont listen to the prompt they just wait for the beep and leave message and then hang up. I am just trying to not miss voicemails cause they are not pressing a button to save.

Hi @Justin-ACR,

Yes you can't remove the # or * but hanging up will save the message. You can go ahead and give it a try.

Will try it and see if it saves. Thought I had tried to do that but it didnt save and notify me that I had a voicemail.

I agree with you Justin, if some day 3CX would like to remove this voicemail ending it could be a really nice news.
And also give access to voicemail messages directly without having to hear synthetic voice giving always same instructions, or a dial code to skip this for ever or something in extension voicemail settings to remove this.

Glad to hear that it worked @Justin-ACR. If you need any further assistance feel free to open a new thread!
