VoiceMail Messages

Hi there,

We have a lot of voicemails that are sent via email to a mailbox's and from time to time voicemails are going missing. Is it possible for the 3CX server to keep a copy of each voicemail sent via email so that should one go missing we can go back and compare them on the 3cx server? As at the moment when the 3cx server has sent the email containing the voicemail it is then deleted from the 3cx server.

Any help would be most welcome.

Under the Voice Mail tab you could select the "Send VMail as attachment" and not the option that deletes it immediately. This way you should still get the email notifications, but if you miss one you should also still be able to listen to them from the actual extension.

Especially if you use the Voice Mail option on a 3CX Phone for Windows, scrolling through them is very easy as well.

So if I do this, the voicemails will stay on the extension folder within 3cx?

Yes, all VMails will remain on the server in folder C:\ProgramData\3CX\InstanceX\Data\Ivr\Voicemail\Extensions\ .
