Hi Everyone,

We are installing 3CX to replace the PBX we used to sell at one of our customers and I wanted to see if there is a way to replicate one function we had on the old system.

A few users asked us to set their voicemail up so that if someone dialed a pre-set number, I.E. 1, the voicemail system would transfer the call to their cell.

This was used by the accounting department in case the bank needed to get ahold of them. Is there a way to accomplish this? I know they won't want ring my mobile simultaneously.

Pressing * will xfer to the systemwide operator IIRC.

I think you will need a CFD per extension, then instead of xfer to voicemail you xfer to cfd that says something like "leave a message press 2 (xfer to vm), transfer to cell press 1 (xfer to mobile number)

That is a thought.

I could set internal calls to forward to voicemail and external calls to forward to the CFD for options.

Thanks, I will mull over this and play with CFD to see if there is a timeout option so that if someone doesn't make a selection it goes to VM.

You could also set calls to go to a DR and have the DR present options and have timeout there to send to VM. Might be simpler then building VoiceApps
