Hi, all.

Sorry for being a complete noob here, but we're having trouble setting up 3cx for use with Voip Unlimited.

Could anyone lend us a hand/give us a "noob's How To" guide? We're IT professionals here and we're ashamed of being so noobish at something like this! :)

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Sorry, should have said, Voip Unlimited have given us a SIP Password (no username though). Do we need to put that in anywhere? Thanks.

Hi There,

If you have not been given a username, your username is probably the same as your number. All you need from the provider is the registar IP, username, password and external number. All the other fields should be fine as default.

Thanks,

Hey, thanks for the reply. We tried the number as the username and (at least at first) it didnt work. We emailed Voip Unlimited's support and they must have poked something because it now works.

However, there is now a problem with no audio during calls. I'm assuming that is a codec or firewall issue. Thanks for your help.

EDIT: Ignore that, it was a firewall issue. All seems to be working now. Cheers for the help.

Hi,

You *must* turn on "allow non sequential RTP port" for VOIP unlimited. If not, you will get random one-way audio issues.

Cheers,
Tim
