W52P Update from 18.6 > Onwards

Hi all,

I have a instance with a number of Yealink W52p DECT base stations, they are all connected via STUN.

I believe in v18.7 and above the ability to provision this base station via STUN has been removed leaving SBC or Local LAN, that is fine but I just want to ensure that when I do the update the currently provisioned DECT Basestations (W52P) will continue to stay provisioned and won't be kicked off.

I know I can do a snapshot/backup and then run the update and if they break restore back but I wanted to see if anyone has updated to later versions with W52P provisioned?

I'll answer why I have no SBC with them, these are approx 30 gas stations each with a single cordless DECT so STUN has always the best way to connect, we control the network on these sites so have not had any issues with config.

We have one client with a STUN phone and they are OK, though not that model. I have not tried to set any new ones up in a couple years.

3CX has posted they will continue to work in v20, but there one needs to make a custom template to add new ones.

BTW, versions before 18u8 can't activate because of an old cert so you'll need to upgrade before the license expires. (there are several threads on this)

Thanks, I know about activation I have until June on this one, there are also no templates for these so I cannot create custom templates for ATA/DECT devices.

I will probably have to risk the update and roll back if it causes a problem
