Wallpaper and Screensaver

Hi..

The 3CX phone system version we are running is V16 Professional. We have created a custom wallpaper and screensaver that meet the requirements for the Yealink 46S.
Since it is Professional, I have read that the wallpapers and screensaver cannot be updated from the 3CX console, but from the individual phone webpages.

I have updated both the wallpaper and screensaver on all the phones onsite. But more frequently, I notice that:

1. On each phone, the screensaver that shows up after about 30 secs, is the 3CX, and sometimes the custom screensaver. How do I keep the custom screensaver to show permanently, instead of 3CX.
2. When the phone is rebooted, I've noticed that both the screensaver and the wallpaper on the phone settings page revert to the 3CX default ones. How can I fix this?

Those settings are configured via the provisioning template to revert to the 3CX logo unless you chose one (Enterprise only). So, yes they will revert back on reboot or every 24h.

You will need to use a custom template to bypass this behavior.

or switch for ENT license, I know just for images this could be available since you buy a commercial license, but unfortunately for now it is like it is

Thanks guys... I'm trying to find documentation that easily explains how to easily make custom templates without changing a lot of values, from default. For now, I've renamed the wallpaper file to the default file name. But alas, screensaver and wallpaper uses the same file name.

Thanks guys... I'm trying to find documentation that easily explains how to easily make custom templates without changing a lot of values, from default. For now, I've renamed the wallpaper file to the default file name. But alas, screensaver and wallpaper uses the same file name.

Easy:

• copy the base template (under Settings -> Templates)
• edit the file, search for "wallpaper" then "screensaver", you'll be able to change the file path and name. Don't forget to update Config::<filename> too.
• save then assign the template to the phone under the Extension (you need to copy the MAC, delete the phone then add again and choose the new template (lower in the list).

If you done it correctly, you can set the phone to download an image from any webserver and use it.

Note that custom templates are not supported so if you encounter issues, you'll be asked to reprovision using the official template to make sure the issue isn't caused by a modification you did.

you just need to know since you customise template, you are no more 3cx supported
