Hello all,

I am provisioning my 3CX shared system with a Yealink T43U phone. The provisioning process goes well, until it comes time to register the account on the phone.

When checking the Error Log is comes up saying that “Block WAN requests is ON.”

I have tried to troubleshoot to no avail. Does anyone have and experience with this issue?

Hi,

As per the guides you should be using an SBC.

Hi DH100, just to check / can you confirm,

> the phone you have, is a model listed as a 'router phone' as per: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t4-series/ page ?
> have you reviewed this page and followed steps?
> note the process of getting a router phone working is a tiny bit different than a vanilla non-router-phone which is deployed when an SBC acts as an intermediary between your handset-phone-device and the 3cx-instance.
> important to note your phone requires the correct/latest firmware to be flashed/installed as per guide above / for the router phone - 3cx - connectivity to work properly. And then you need to follow proper steps to provision the phone properly as a router phone.

and as a basic sanity test, have you done basic testing of 3cx functionality,
> confirm access to 3cx web interface from a computer in the network where you are working with the phone handset?
> web based 3cx app / interactions are good for inbound/outbound calling 'light bulb testing' validate it is ok
> optionally you can do similar validation of 3cx<>connectivity by install the 3cx app on your smartphone, then do a test call in/out while on the office wifi (for example) as a way to validate your office network is ok / not blocking traffic / etc ?

possibly this is helpful? maybe you can reply with a bit more info / will give more insight.

thanks,

Tim

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your solutions. I decided to use a Rasperry Pi as my SBC. The phone is a router phone but did not function correctly as a SBC, still unsure why but as mentioned is it working properly now.

You need to be sure that the phone is on the correct firmware, than it will work as router phone.
