Web client extension won't dial from web client if already open

Hi,

I'm using the chromium edge extension, mostly it works very well. If I a have the web client extension open and dial a number from the web client (not the extension) the extension looks like it is dialing the number which is correctly displayed but is greyed out and never connects:


If I close the web client extension and dial the number from the web client then it opens the web client extension and dials correctly.

Can you please check what is the selected device on the top right corner of your Web Client?


If it is something else other than Browser Extension then it will be disabled on Browser Extension

Hi Constantinos,

I have Browser Extension selected.

Interestingly I looked to see what the other options were, selected the only other option: Smartphone and then reselected Browser Extension and it works fine, with the extension open it dials from the web client.

I then closed Edge (completely by right clicking on the Notification Icon), reopened Edge and the old behavior returned in that it won't dial from the web client if the extension is already open.

I cannot replicate your scenario.

I have open both web client and Edge Extension. When I dial a number from Web Client, I get the call triggered from Edge Extension. I have also 2 devices in drop-down. Browser Extension and Smartphone.

What I can suggest is to proceed and open a support ticket to investigate your issue in more detail
