Hi Team

A customer who uses Web Meeting for training purposes needs to use videos as part of their training. It appears that the audio from the video doesn't come through.

I did some testing and was unable to get it working myself. I was trying to play a MP4 file through Windows Media Player. I also tried running it through a browser, but that also didn’t work. I tested with Windows media player, Chrome – YouTube and Video embedded in PowerPoint.

I’m questioning if audio works across any application?

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix or work around?

Hi there, are you talking about screen sharing a video?

Hi there, are you talking about screen sharing a video?
Yes. But also using video as content in the web meeting. Is there a better way of doing it so participants can hear the audio?

1) Screen Sharing: For now there's no ability to share your screen + audio through the browser. We plan to eventually provide the ability to share an app window or browser tab + audio.

2) If you want to share video content via WebMeeting, for the moment, the best way to do it is to get a 3'rd party virtual camera software like 'ManyCam' or others.

Once ManyCam is up and running, you can import a video, start the playback. For this to appear and be heard properly inside WebMeeting, you'll need to open a second tab with WebMeeting connected or use your existing one and set the 'ManyCam' camera & 'ManyCam' microphone device to be used.

We can't help you with the use of other external software. You'll need to do your own research on these.

Hi Leonidas

Regarding Point 1 - is there a time-frame for this to be developed? This is a feature of Zoom, and we are desperately trying to get 3CX up over Zoom in this instance with the end customer.
