I am missing the Video module in the web conference module. There are Conference Room, Participants and Real-time Chat on the left side of the screen, but no video.
I am using Elastix 2.2RC2 with the webconf module installed via the "Addons" interface.
tnx, Mark

Hi.

Remember it's a RC version and not a stable version.
If you discovered some bugs with this module, you have this link:
http://bugs.elastix.org.

Into the forum, only threads are on stable versions are there, excepted some announcements or else.

Please, check if your problem is not already sent on elastix bugs website, or send a new bug report.

Regards ;)

Hi, I have located the file elastix-red5-1.0.0-1.rc1.svn4199.src.rpm but would appreciate some details on how to install this for elastix. Thanks James

Hi, bug report already exist - http://bugs.elastix.org./view.php?id=895
James, to install elastix-red5:
System - Updates
in Repositories need select Beta RPM Repository for Elastix (Save/Update)
then Packages (Repositories Update) - select ALL, type elastix-red5 - Search
click install and wait, wait, wait..

Thanks for the reply. I installed elastix-red5, but still no video in either 2.2RC2 or 2.04. The screen doesn't show the video display box at all. Is anybody else experiencing this?

Not Work :( Not Work :(
You Saif : Wait Wait Wait .....
but not work and you know. but dosent say how to solve the problem ?????

Hi,

It's not working for me too.
Elastix 2.2.0 with :
elastix-red5 1.0.0-1.rc1.svn4199
elastix-conferenceroom 2.0.0-1

Save, reboot, login/logout, I've created a new web conference...still no luck.

Don't know it it helps but if I try to manually install elastix-conferenceroom-2.0.0-1 RPM, there is an error when starting Red5 :
RMIserver...Connection refused to host: 192.168.0.1

Regards,

Hi.
all working.
install Elastix-2.2.0-i386-bin-01Nov2011
install elastix-red5 (from beta RPM Repository)
install Web Conference v0.0.0-10 (tab Addons)
create conference - video works.

elastix install on vmware player. system resources: CPU core i3-2330M, RAM 1Gb

Hi,

I've just tried with Web Conference v0.0.0-10 (i've removed v2.0.0-1) and it still doesn't work.
Is there any log file that I can check to see what's wrong ?
In /opt/red5/log, I found this but I don't really see any error :

I am running v2.2.0 (release 14). I have installed elastix-webconference-0.0.0-10 and elastix-red5. I do not get a "Video" tab. I tried to restart "elastix-red5" in the /etc/init.d directory, and this is what comes up:

Starting Red5:

The error above indicates it cannot connect to 127.0.0.1 for some reason. This is a very vanilla install (installed as of yesterday), and not firewall rules or anything have been put on it.

Is there something else I need to do with red5? A config file I have to edit?

Thanks! :-)

Hi There

I am struggling to make the web conf work.

Whenever I launch it I end up with a blank screen.

Where can I download the Elastix-red5 (beta RPM Repository?) version you're referring too?

Many thanks for your understanding.

Regards

Wane

I have you the same error ...

Attempting to connect to RMI port: 9999
java.io.IOException: Failed to retrieve RMIServer stub: javax.naming.ServiceUnavailableException [Root exception is java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: 127.0.0.1; nested exception is:

at javax.management.remote.JMXConnectorFactory.connect(JMXConnectorFactory.java:267)
at org.red5.server.Shutdown.main(Shutdown.java:86)

but the web conf work !, Video too. The problem i have is the bridging between asterisk and red 5. I mean if a call the audio conference by the phone i ca not hear nothing from the web conf and viceversa. I'm sure (i try big blue button) that is possible to brige tje voice from asterisk to red5 and viceversa !!!

I guess is a bridging problem. Someone knows something about it ?

Thank you !!! :)

start this service then u will get the video in conference

/etc/init.d/elastix-red5 start

Hello anil4342
