Webinar participants getting disconnected

Hello all,

yesterday we had a webinar where all ~ 100 participants joined with the same link.

Some participants got disconnected during the webinar and got the following error message:

You are already attending this conference. It is not possible to join again using the same conference link

Some of the participants that were disconnected could join back by simply clicking join. Others said they could only rejoin with another device.

Any idea what may have caused this?

Hi Martin,

When the organizer creates the event, 2 links are sent out. One link reaches the organizer in his/her inbox which is their own private link. The other is sent to the participant(s) you invited.

If the organizer's link is copied and sent to participants, they will receive the "You are already attending this conference" message when trying to connect using a link already in use.

The best way for an organizer to add anyone they've not mailed via the Web Client when setting up the meeting, is to use the link provided within the meeting once you've joined.

thanks for the quick response.

I sent the link as you showed it in the screenshot.

The problem was not that the participants could not join at meeting start, the problem was that they got disconnected after 30-60 minutes and then were unable to rejoin.

Hello Martin,

We've checked with the relevant department and they've confirmed that when a user disconnects due to internet issues likely on their end or a temporary routing issue. If they receive the message, the likely scenario is that they were disconnected but remain virtually connected for 20 - 30 seconds, before being able to log in again.

If they try again after 30 seconds, they should be able to connect.
