Solved Webmeeting Down. multiple customers.

on version 16.5.612 on windows server 2019. hyperv and vmware, if that matters.

we get this when user ties to click on the webmeeting tab in the webclient. all the sites come back green from the the status page, most of the customers are on the west coast. I have tried the re-start of the system server - service. no difference. are others experiencing this? seems to have started yesterday or early today.

first we were getting the try back in 30 seconds message. now we get a google 404. That’s an error. The requested URL was not found on this server. That’s all we know.

Please let us know what else to try, rebooting production servers is not an acceptable solution, all other services seem to function fine.

Hi everyone,

Yesterday from 20:45 - 22:00 GMT+2 we experienced unexpected downtime when our WebMeeting Director proxy services which authenticate WebMeeting customers before directing them to their respective WebMeeting Zone Portal & MCUs.

The Director service running on GAE detected a health issue and tried to automatically fix itself but due to very unexpected circumstances was unable to do so. After manual intervention by our team/s the issue was resolved.

The fault cause was identified and has been temporarily addressed. A full review of the cause is pending once our teams reconvene soon.

We apologize for the inconvenience during this downtime. We do our best to try to provide the best user experience with WebMeeting and keep everyone happy but failed in this instance. As with all mistakes, we've learned from this one and will ensure not to repeat it.
