Webmeeting mail invites - Best pratice

Hi,

We are partners and we keep maintenance of the 3CX instance for the customer.
The default email is our email.

I notice that when an extension have an email address and wants to schedule a webmeeting, it sends mail from this address, at least with 3CX direct mail as calendar.
But when someone uses Gmail account to send invites, even with a mail address filled in its extension, we got a mail too as the "organisator" but we were not invited !

What is the best way to handle webmeeting mail invites ?

OS : Windows Server
3CX version : 16.0.6.655

When using "3CX (direct email)" it will use the address you have defined in your PBX depending on what you selected here

But when someone uses Gmail account to send invites, even with a mail address filled in its extension, we got a mail too as the "organisator" but we were not invited !

When using "Google" it will not send anything because it does not read extension emails, but rather launches your Google Calendar in the browser, and now you select where the notifications go.




So check how you have set up the system, and if needed change the email address in your management console and repeat the test.

Indeed.
For Google calendar, I receive the invite as organisator from the Google account who sent emails.
My point is that I am not actually invited. But my email is in the general settings of the server.

Is that a normal behavior ?

No it does not sound like normal behavior. Could you perhaps test by adding a different email address in the general settings of the server? Just to see if that address will receive the invite too.
