Hi,

Since this morning, a few users have reported unstable service with 3CX Webmeeting V16. For other users, things are working as usual.

In the console, I'm getting a Webmeeting Synchronization : Network error.

I've logged in the VM, tested outbound connectivity, and everything seems ok.

Advises on how to diagnose/ fix this issue would be appreciated.

Thank you

Trying to force a sync does not help.

What's wrong?

Can you send me in a PM what your exact FQDN of your system is please?

PM send.
Hope this helps.

Thanks,

The WebMeeting FQDN seems to be OK. Can you please do the following:
  1. Log into your Management Console in 2 different tabs.
  2. In the first tab go to Dashboard --> Activity Log, select your network interface and press "Capture" (Don't select "All Interfaces" if there is this option, choose the specific NIC used). Leave it running and down close the tab.
  3. In the second tab, go to Settings --> Conferencing and press the "Synchronize" button
  4. Wait until you get the error.
  5. Revert to the first tab, press "Stop", the press the "here" button to download the packet capture.
  6. Upload the packet capture to a file sharing service of your choice (GDrive, Dropbox, OneDrive, WeTransfer, etc) and send me the download link in the PM we have going.
What I want to check is if your system can establish a connection WM online service.

WebMeeting works, the PBX can access webmeeting-director.3cx.net, the firewall does not block.
Everything seems to be fine, only the error message is displayed.

Hi,

On my end, I found and fixed the SYNC issue by installing the ca-certificates package on the machine.

When doing a "curl" of the webmeeting sync URL, certificate validation would fail.

apt install ca-certificates

However, another user reported issues this morning. See the following. Any ideas?

Regarding V18, definitly, you guys have been quite clear about the requirement to upgrade. However, we heavilly depends on the Click-2-Meet link which will change with the upgrade. This makes the switch tricky.

Thanks
