Which SIP trunks can you vouch for, which also work with SMS through 3CX?

I'm going to be ditching Flowroute due to their godawful handling of the 10DLC mandate in my case. Which trunks have verified working SMS on 3CX? The list of "providers" in the 3CX documentation is quite limited. I'd LOVE to get voip.ms texting working but I couldn't find any SMS instructions for 3CX and it's not officially supported.

The providers that are supported by SMS are Voxtelesys, Flowroute, Bandwidth (US), and Twilio (worldwide).

10DLC can certainly be a pain and cause issues for certain submissions, I do not know how flowroute does it but we (Voxtelesys) have you complete the brand verification, and then submit your campaign through our portal. Before we pass your campaign on for review we do an internal check on your submission, if it looks good we pass it along for final review, if it needs updating/fixing we reach out to get it updated before submitting. Here is a list of some TCR partners/CSPs: https://www.campaignregistry.com/ (Voxtelesys at the bottom).

Note that 10DLC is just for Local numbers, Toll free numbers require a different verification process. We currently have a manual form to complete TF verification but that will soon be deployed to our portal for easier submission. Unverified Toll-free outbound messages are blocked.

Other Comments:
  • Unregistered Surcharges are going up, currently not blocked (or completely blocked) but that could change down the road or surcharges could continue to rise.
  • Sometimes the industry you are in will not be submitted or approved, these include High-risk financial services, Third-party lead generation services and marketing, Debt collection or forgiveness, “Get rich quick” schemes, Illegal substances/Prescription drugs, Gambling, and S.H.A.F.T.

hmmm, I'm not seeing Twilio as an option inside the 3CX>+Add Sip Trunk dialogue:

This is under the Worldwide section

Is this system an SMB or 3cx Free?

In this case, some providers will not be available, and you will have a choice of US providers, such as Voxtelesys and Flowroute, which offer SMS.

Wow. That's crazy. So there's no way to do it? After you said Twilio was compatible, I signed up with them and initiated a port request:(

You can use the 3cx dedicated instance to use Twilio instead of an SMB from where Twilio is supported.

I don't know what that means unfortunately. The only thing I know about SMB is that it is what I paid for with 3CX. I believe it was smb 10 - something like $175 I think.

What is a dedicated instance?
