I have 2 old Linksys SPA 2102
One connects to 3CX and one does not,
I did a full reset on the one with trouble, and just copied the setup line by line.
The only difference is the IP, I even switched LAN wires so they has been tested on the same wires and plugs.
Here are pictures of the set that I imagine that may be of interest
If I set the up against an asterisk or internet service the both works, still as I prefer the 3CX, Never seen anything I prefer.
I just tried Asterisk in Incredible-PBX to learn about it, and that makes me even stronger preferring 3CX :)

Hy,
I don't know which 3CX Phone System version you are using but in the latest versions the Authentication ID (Auth ID field in ATA line configuration) is mandatory. Please switch to yes the Use Auth ID field and fill correctly the Auth ID field.

Or use supported ATAs

I have the 3cx standard, a free version. It is up to date, and running on a raspberry pi. Changing the auth ID did not help.

Is it one particular 2102 that always fails?

Is the 3CX Activity Log any help in determining why it is failing, or it not even attempt to register?

Have you tried assigning each a Static IP, rather than using DHCP. I find that makes logging into a particular device a lot easier.

Have you attempted to set an NTP server in each, to update the time. That will tell you that it is able to gt out on the internet.

One setting that should be changed, under the SIP tab...RTP Packet Size should be 0.020, not 0.030

In you post, both are set to use the same extension number, have you tried using a different extension on each?

Why do you have an Auth ID value in one and an empty one in the second?

The non activated auth id hangs from a test I did at Callcentric. Not in use, and should not matter.

I am not able to see that it tries to register in the log, but the led on the ATA shows the activity like it is trying.
Noting changes with a static IP, but the router is configured to give it the same IP always.
RTP packet adjusted to 0.020 but it does not change the connection.
I used the same line number and have tried one ATA at the time, and both. Simply because I tried to make a totally equal setup with the working one. Have tested it with oter lines too, but no connection. Connects fine to Callcentric, asterisk and Zadarma, but not 3CX

despite the fact that they have different IP addresses, did the second one get blacklisted?

That will happen if you don't have the correct information, at some point. To prevent that, I whitelist my my local network. I found, that at one time, some ATAs were getting blacklisted, once in a while, even with correct credentials.

That is a good Idea, have to learn how to do that.
Quite easy when I found that it is in the same list as blacklisted ip's. Thank you! :)
