Wil it be possible again to put calls on hold in the webclient with Snom phones in the future?

Some of our customers use the 3CX softphone client with a Snom phone on which it is possible to put calls on hold from the client.

In the Webclient, this function is not implemented, so the clients must use a physical button on the phone to put calls on hold.

Is this function coming back in the web-based client, or is it technically impossible?

They would like to use hotdesk phones, which is unsupported by 3CX in combination with the softphone client, so they can only use the webclient, but without the "hold" functionality.

Hi @VasilisV_3CX,

The physical Snom phones are all in the local LAN (Voice VLAN with QoS), not configured with Stun or SBC.
The difference between a Snom hotdesk phone and a Snom phone provisioned to an extension, is that the 3CX softphone client can not be used in CTI modus with the hotdesking phone as it logs out the Snom phone.

From an other post Here, I know it is a known limitation, so using the 3cx webclient is the only alternative.

Our customer however, is using the "hold" function in the 3cx softphone client a lot. This function is unavailable from the webclient when controlling a snom phone.
My question still is, will this function be rolled out in the future to the webclient?

Best regards!
