Since upgrading to V20 from V18, inbound Caller ID is no longer working. We believe to have found a resolution by editing an XML file and uploading it to the PBX. I have the file ready to upload, I just worry that if I upload the file that it will "break" the current in use SIP Trunks that are used by the company. Of course, we plan to take a backup just in case but want to check other avenues as well. Does anyone know what effects uploading a new Provider Template has?

Hai, Uploading the XML with same name may result error and lose the sip trunk configuration, u can export the current sip trunk config and try. but I belive in case its get delete or overridge, DID and outbound rull related to exiting sip trunk may be lose also.
Did you try packet capture to see inbound caller ID?

Thank

Thank you for the information.

I did not try packet capture, is there a specific way to do so?

in V20 u can see in dashboard middle Capter Button u can click and start the then start the calling and stop the calling, then stop the capture, then it will download it, then u can open it with wireshark program to analyze it.
you can refer the following for how to capture.
https://www.3cx.com/docs/capture-network-traffic/

If you need to kow about Wireshark program

Awesome, thank you! I did the capture and there was no caller ID in the summary. Only showed the number unfortunately.
