Does the Windows Client need to communicate with the phones directly for any reason? I have both on separate VLANs/subnets. I am running into an issue when trying to use the Windows client to make a call on the phone it doesn't seem to do anything. The Windows client acts as if it is going to dial but doesn't & the actual phone does nothing. If it matters I am using a SNOM D717 phone.

The Windows client uses CTI, which does require the phone and PC to be able to communicate.

The Webclient, however, uses CSTA, which bypass this requirement.

Thanks for the clarification, do you know what port the Windows client uses to communicate with the phone in this manner?
